Help build the app that lets the crowd run the night. Real users every Friday, real features shipped every week.
What you'll do
- Build and polish features in our web app: RSVPs, voting, the song list, profiles, the door check-in tool
- Fix bugs and make things fast on phones, where almost everyone uses Taste
- Write database rules that keep members' info locked down
- Ship small, test it, watch people use it on a Friday, improve it
What we're looking for
- Comfortable with JavaScript and React (Next.js is a plus)
- Some SQL or Postgres (Supabase is a plus) and Git/GitHub
- You care about design details and security, not just getting it to run
- A portfolio, GitHub, class project or app you've built. School, bootcamp or self-taught all welcome
Pay
Paid hourly or per project, based on experience. The rate is agreed in writing before any work starts. Roughly 5 to 15 hours a week, on your schedule.

Bring your people to Taste Fridays and get paid for every one who shows up.
What you'll do
- Share your personal Taste link and QR code with friends, group chats and your socials
- Hand out flyers with your promo code (we supply them)
- Talk up the night: the crowd picks the music, VIPs get in free before 11
- Check your own stats page to see link opens, RSVPs and who checked in
What we're looking for
- 21 or older (you'll be at the events you promote)
- Social, reliable, and connected: a big friend group, an org, a team, a following
- Represent Taste well: honest about the event, respectful to everyone
Pay
You earn a set amount for every guest who checks in at the door using your code or link. RSVPs alone don't count, check-ins do. Your rate is agreed before you start, your earnings update live on your private stats page, and you're paid after each event. Student orgs can join as a team to raise money for their org.
Apply for Street TeamThe fine print
Both roles are independent contractor positions, not employment. You set your own schedule and methods, use your own phone and equipment, and can work for others. You're responsible for your own taxes (we send a 1099-NEC when required), and contractor roles don't include employee benefits. Every contractor signs a short written agreement before starting that covers pay, payment timing and expectations.
Street team members agree to promote only to people 21 and older, describe events honestly, follow venue rules and any rules about where flyers can be posted, and never imply that a school, business or organization endorses Taste unless it does.
This page describes roles we're open to filling. It isn't an offer or a contract, and roles can change or close at any time. Taste Nights is an equal opportunity company: we don't discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected status.
